Easter Egg Hunt

To finish up our busy Term, we had a lovely Easter Egg Egg hunt on a windy but sunny day. It was great fun finding all the little bunnies, and there was an egg for everyone to enjoy

St Patrick’s Day

On Wednesday 16th of March we celebrated St Patrick’s day (a little bit early) with some ‘wearing of the green’ and a parade around the ground, followed by some lively music in the gym.

Amber Flag

On Friday the 1st of April we held our annual St. Anne’s “Wake-Up” Well-being Relay Walk.   This walk is part of our promotion of positive mental health and will be one of the many activities we will be partaking in, in our quest for a second Amber flag.  Well done to all our students who carried and waved the amber flags on their walks.

Coffee morning in aid of ukraine

On Friday the 11th March, we hosted a coffee morning in aid of our friends in Ukraine.  Students and staff were invited to dress in blue and/or yellow and were asked to make a small donation to this cause.  We were delighted to able to raise €1,150.00.  These proceeds were donated to the Red Cross Charity.  Thank you to all out staff, students and families for your overwhelming support.

The Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) filmed this wonderful video of some of our students engaging in P.E. tasks. This video will feature in the INTO Special Ed Conference in February

A Big Thank You

We would like to thank a special friend of St Anne’s, Pauline Loughnane. Pauline supplies our school lunches but also much more. Thanks Pauline for all the additional treats and kindness.

It’s Christmas Time!!

These last few weeks have been very busy getting ready for Santa, and acknowledging the special season of Christmas. Our GP room displays are lovely, and there have been lots of activities and crafts go on in every classroom.

Santa Arrived!!!!

Tuesday was very exciting when Santa arrived in his sled. He came into the GP room and met each class individually. We were all very excited to get an extra special present from Santa before Christmas.

October: Halloween Highjinks

This last week we have been having lots of fun with the theme of Halloween. Art, Music, Drama and lots of other curriculum areas have taken a spooky turn! On Friday we finished up with a Dress Up day, and a Trick or Treat trail that led us to some lovely treats to share. Below are some photos of our students enjoying these activities.

September

During September we all settled back into our routines and are getting used to our new class names. We welcomed the lovely weather and the opportunity to be outdoors amongst the lovely season of Autumn. A lot of our artwork reflected this in our noticeboards and displays.

We are looking forward to seeing the return of all our pupils on Monday 30th August

We hope you all had a safe and relaxing holiday, and have undertaken all necessary procedures to ensure as safe a return to school as possible.
